SIX MEN LIVE AT Lamont House and all of them enjoy bowling, going to the movies, and participating in Special Olympics.

Two of our residents play the drums and everyone seems to enjoy playing music and dancing. We never miss the monthly dances put on by Novato Parks and Recreation Dept. Occasionally, while dinner is being prepared, the men will spontaneously start dancing. Most of the guys are wild for the Beatles.

Everyone at Lamont House is encouraged to be friendly and supportive to his peers. The men seem to enjoy one another, often spending unstructured time together instead of alone in their respective rooms.

All six of our residents have a sense of humor and there is a lot of good-natured teasing among the residents.

“My daughter and I had wanted to move my son John to California for several years but only when we found Cedars and met Brenda and Al did we feel we had found a home for John. We have never seen him happier! The Cedars has been a true blessing and the help we received from everyone during the move was above and beyond. Cedars is indeed our new family!”
