Amy participates in both swimming and race-walking in the Special Olympics and won a medal for race walking this year. She enjoys walking every day before or after dinner and spends much of her free time creating art. She keeps her room clean and neat and gets a kick out of rearranging her furniture. She’s a big help doing chores around the house.

Laura loves scary movies and ghost stories. She enjoys bowling, dancing and shopping, particularly at Costco where she’s proud to help shop for everyone in her home. Laura spends time coloring and is very proud whenever someone purchases the cards she’s created at Victory Center. Her musical tastes range from country to 50s and 60s music and big band favorites. And she loves lemonade!

Jon is a committed bowler, with his own bowling ball. He loves listening to opera in his room and watching basketball on television. He looks forward to weekly visits from his mom and takes great pride in his room, which he keeps quite tidy. Jon enjoys walking with the group, socializing with the other homes, and going to the Novato dances.

Heidi loves to go dancing, is very artistic, and especially enjoys reading animal books while watching the Discovery channel. Every Saturday, she swims with Special Olympics and enjoys a horseback ride. When she’s happy, she likes to imitate the sounds of what she sees on TV. Heidi also enjoys doing household chores.

John is a great dancer, loves bowling, and enjoys taking walks with the group. He pours through the sports magazines and watches the Discovery channel. He has a good time reading his book of jokes and singing karaoke-style.
